Emergency cases
Prevention and protection measures in emergency cases
If you find electrical lines fallen to or hanging over the ground:
- Do not approach them and keep at least a 20-meter distance from the respective place and do not allow other people to approach.
- Call 112.
- Stay away from any object that might touch the cables: a fence, a tree, a building, a car.
- Wait for help.
If the electrical overhead lines touch the car you are into:
- Stay in the car
- If other people approach the car you are into, warn them not to come closer.
- Call 112.
- Wait in the car until authorised people come to help you.
In case of faults, broken wires or any other visible malfunction in the electrical installations.
- Call 929. Our authorised workers shall intervene in an operative manner.
If electricity is interrupted:
- Check first whether your neighbours have electricity.
- If you are convinced that there is an electricity interruption, call the electricity supplier in order to inform him. Do not call 112 unless there is an emergency.
- Use a flashlight for lighting purposes. Avoid using candles in order not to start a fire.
- Unplug the computer and the TV set. The electrical shock determined by the electrical current may damage them.
- If you are blocked in the elevator, do not panic and wait for help. Do not try to leave the elevator in between floors.
