Energy tariffs
Types of tariffs. Choose the most advantageous tariff!
Choose the tariff that suits you best from among the 7 options, taking into account the normal consumption during a month or the consumption you intend to have in the upcoming period.
The tariffs do not include excises and the value added tax. The prices and tariffs applied to electricity captive customers are set up by the Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority.
The monomial CR tariff with reservation
It is one of the most applied for tariffs and it means that the whole volume of consumed electricity and the rezervation corresponding to the billing period are billed at a single price during the entire billing period.
The tariff has two components: The price for the energy consumed in the billing period (lei/kWh) and the price for reservation (lei/day)
| Prices of the tariff components | ||
| Voltage level | Reservation price (lei/day) | Energy price (lei/kWh) |
| Low voltage (0-1 kV inclusive) | 0.1562 | 0.3247 |
| Medium voltage (1-110 kV exclusive) | 0.1562 | 0.2525 |
The monomial CI tariff with included consumption
This one has two components: the subscription and the electricity price.
The subscription is calculated according to the number of days in the billing period. It comprises the reservation price and a daily volume of energy of 1 kWh. The volume of electricity included in the subscription, which is not consumed is not carried forward.
| Prices of the tariff components | ||
| Voltage level | Subscription (lei/day) | Energy price (lei/kWh) |
| Low voltage (0-1 kV inclusive) | 0.4485 | 0.3247 |
| Medium voltage (1-110 kV exclusive) | 0.3836 | 0.2525 |
CS social tariff
This is an option for customers with low income. It is advantageous for customer with a reduced monthly electricity consumption of up to 90 kWh/ month.
It applies only for customers meeting the provisions under the ANRE Order no 38/2005 – the income of the family members of lower or equal to the minim monthly salary.
It is made up of three consumption quotas with different prices:
- Quota 1: consumption between 0 – 2 kWh/day
- Quota 2: consumption between 2 – 3 kWh/day
- Quota 3: consumption between 3 kWh/day
The consumption quotas for the social tariff are monthly and they are not carried forward.
The monomial CD tariff
The monomial CD tariff without reservation means that the whole volume of consumed electricity is billed at a single price during the entire billing period. It is meant for the household customers who do not want to have a tariff with reservation for their own consumption.
It is made up of a single price for electricity including non-current expenses irrespective of the consumed electricity volume. No reservation price is applied.
| Prices of the tariff components | |
| Voltage level | Energy price (lei/kWh) |
| Low voltage (0-1 kV inclusive) | 0.4330 |
| Medium voltage (1-110 kV exclusive) | 0.3368 |
The monomial CR2 tariff with reservation differentiated on hourly periods
It is advantageous if the electricity consumption volume during night hours and weekend exceeds 55% of the total recorded consumption.
It is made up of the following:
- Reservation price (lei/day), meant to cover non-current expenses;
- Energy price during the day applied to the consumption recorded from Monday to Friday between 7 am to 10 pm;
- Energy price during the night applied to the consumption recorded during the hours in the interval from Monday to Friday between 10 pm and 7 am, as well as during the weekend in the interval from Friday 10 pm to Monday 7 am.
| Prices of the tariff components | |||
| Voltage level | Reservation price (lei/day) | Energy price during the day (lei/kWh) | Energy price during the night (lei/kWh) |
| Low voltage (0-1 kV inclusive) | 0.1562 | 0.5172 | 0.1682 |
| Medium voltage (1-110 kV exclusive) | 0.1562 | 0.4088 | 0.1323 |
The monomial CR 3 tariff with reservation differentiated on 3 hourly periods
It is advantageous if the consumption during peak hours can be avoided and if the percentage of the electricity consumption is transferred to night hours and weekend.
It is made up of the following:
- Reservation price (lei/day), meant to cover non-current expenses;
- A price for the electricity consumed during peak hours, applied to the consumption corresponding to the summer period in the interval 8.00 – 9.00 (April 1st–September 30th) and to the winter period in the intervals 8.00–10.00 and 19.00–22.00 (October 1st–March 31st);
- A price for the electricity consumed during the hours with low consumption applied to the consumption corresponding to the summer period in the hourly intervals 0.00–08.00 and 21.00–0.00 from Friday 9 pm to Monday 8.00 am and to the winter period in the hourly intervals 0.00–08.00 and 21.00–0.00 from Friday 10 pm to Monday 8.00 am;
- A price for the electricity consumed during the normal period, in the summer in the hourly interval 9.00–21.00 and in the winter period, between 10.00–19.00.
| Prices of the tariff components | ||||
| Voltage level | Reservation price (lei/day) | Energy price during peak hours (lei/kWh) | Energy price during normal period (lei/kWh) | Energy price during empty period (lei/kWh) |
| Low voltage (0-1 kV inclusive) | 0.1562 | 0.7336 | 0.4088 | 0.1924 |
| Medium voltage (1-110 kV exclusive) | 0.1562 | 0.5773 | 0.3247 | 0.1443 |
The monomial CTP tariff
- It is mean for the household customers connected to low voltage and it is differentiated on three quotas of contracted power (up to 3 kW, between 3 and 6 kW and over 6 kW);
- It is advantageous for the household customers who balance their electricity consumption without exceeding the contracted power.
- Exceeding the contracted power leads to the disconnection of the customer by automatically triggering the switch adjusted to the value load corresponding to the requested power.
- The reconnection is carried out by the customer and it is determined by the discharging of the load surplus in the feeding installations.
- The tariff is made up of two components: the price for the energy consumed during the billing period (lei/kW) and the price for reservation (lei/day)
| Prices of the tariff components, for the maximum power quota | ||||||
| Voltage level | Up to 3 kW inclusive | Over 6 kW | Between 3-6 kW | |||
| Reservation price (lei/day) | Energy price (lei/kW) | Reservation price (lei/day) | Energy price (lei/kW) | Reservation price (lei/day) | Energy price (lei/kW) | |
| Low voltage (0-1 kV inclusive) | 0.1562 | 0.2645 | 0.3368 | 0.2645 | 0.5051 | 0.2645 |
Changing the tariff
In order to change the tariff, you should submit a written application to the Customer Care Centre that you belong to.
Changing the tariff is allowed in the following cases:
- 12 calendar months after the last change, except the household customers who choose to have a social tariff or have to change from the social tariff to another tariff under the provisions of the regulations in force;
- Upon the occurrence of new tariff types, if 12 calendar months have not passed after the last change;
- Upon the cancellation of the tariff applied to the customer.
