Radio–TV fee
The conditions according to which people with low income are exempted from the payment of the fee for the radio and TV public service
The following categories of natural persons are exempted from the payment of the fee for the radio and TV public services:
- Romanian families and single persons entitled to be granted a minimum income guaranteed as social assistance revenues, based on Law 416/2001, as subsequently amended;
- The pensioner of the Romanian Radio Company and of the Romanian Television Company;
- Pensioner included in the pension schemes for agriculturalists whose rights have been set up based on the legislation prior to the enforcement of Law no 19/2000 concerning the pension scheme and other social assistance rights. The proof of the affiliation to this category is given by the retirement decision or the yellow pension coupon;
- Subscribers to the radio-amplification networks;
- Other categories provisioned under special laws:
- Martyr heroes and fighter that contributed to the victory of the Romanian Revolution in December 1989, as subsequently amended and completed;
- War veterans, as well as some invalid persons and war widows;
- The people persecuted by the regimes installed in Romanian beginning with September 6th, 1940 until March 6th, 1954 for ethnical reasons;
- The persons that carried out the military service in the General Division of the Work Unit in the period 1950-1961;
They shall submit the following documents:
- Application for the exemption from the payment of the fee for the radio and televisions public services
- Documents proving one of the aforementioned criteria.
