Damage settlement
Terms and conditions according to which E.ON Moldova Distribuţie settles damages and grants indemnities.
Damaged household appliances
E.ON Moldova Distribuţie grants indemnities to household customers when their electrical receptors are damaged due to the inappropriate operation of the distribution operator’ electrical network, recorded in the operative track records and proven, under the conditions provisioned in the following:
- The electricity supply contract for household customers;
- The procedure for the indemnity payment to household customers for the damage of the household appliances due to the distribution operator’s fault.
In case the voltage value exceeded the limits accepted by the technical regulations in force, in the point of separation between the supplier’s and customer’s installations, the maximum period during which the customer has to inform the supplier in writing is 5 working days after the date of the notified incident or after the date when he became aware of the incident.
As an exemption to the rule, electrical lamps and heating devices are not subject to indemnity payment.
Within maximum 15 calendar days after the submission of the written application, the result of the analysis related to the requested indemnity shall be sent to the correspondence address of the contract owner that applied for it.
Animals electrocuted due to the distribution operator’s fault
E.ON Moldova Distributie grants indemnities for animals electrocuted due to the inappropriate operation of the distribution operator’s electrical network recorded in the operative track records or proven.
The distribution operator is not responsible for damages occurred in case of calamities or natural phenomena with a higher intensity than the one provisioned under the designing prescriptions.
Within maximum 30 calendar days after the submission of the written application, the result of the analysis related to the requested indemnity shall be sent to the correspondence address of the contract owner that applied for it.
Damage due to the intervention in the network for retrofitting, repair and revision works or in case of failures
The owners of the land and the owners of the activities affected by the intervention of the distribution operator for retrofitting, repair and revision works or in case of failures shall be indemnified for the prejudices occurred.
Upon the calculation of the indemnities, the following criteria shall be taken into account:
- The land area affected by the performance of works;
- Types of cultures and plantation, as well as facilities affected by the works;
- Activities restricted due to the works.
The quantum of the indemnity is set forth upon the agreement of the parties or, in case the parties do not reach an agreement, the quantum is set up under a court ruling.
