Supplier of last resort
What it means that E.ON Moldova Furnizare is the supplier of last resort.
The competent authority, ANRE appointed E.ON Moldova Furnizare as the supplier of last resort.*
The supplier of last resort is the supplier appointed by the competent authority (ANRE) to provide the service for the customers in a well-determined geographical area, in case they have no access to the current supplier’s services anymore, as per the license suspension/ withdrawal procedure initiated by ANRE.
ANRE allocates the customer portfolio of the respective supplier to one or several suppliers, hereinafter referred to as suppliers of last resort, abbreviated FUO.
The appointment of the suppliers of last resort, their activation and the way customers are taken over by FUO are thoroughly described under the following ANRE regulations:
- ANRE Order no 14 for the approval of the Guideline concerning the electricity supplier of last resort;
- ANRE Order no 15 for the appointment of the supplier of last resort for the period in between July 1st, 2007 – June 30th, 2008.
