E.ON Moldova Distribuţie draws attention to the dangers posed by the unauthorized interventions in the electricity distribution grid
E.ON Moldova Distribuţie draws attention to the dangers of electrocutions, burns, fires and explosions represented by the unauthorized interventions in the electricity distribution installations, respectively in the aerial and undeground cables, electrical boxes, and in electricity transformation stations and posts.
Thus, in 2009, as a result of such interventions in the electricity distribution installations, were registered 12 severe accidents resulted in six deaths and the severe injuring of one child, and, since the beginning of this year, have been registered 2 serious accidents resulted in one death.
„Our company manifests its permanent preoccupation for the safety of the persons who, for one reason or another, are in the proximity of electricity distribution installations. We must be aware and we must also educate the younger ones that these installations can present a real danger when the safety rules are not observed. It is the civic obligation of each and every one of us to do all we can to avoid unwanted situations that can occur in the proximity of electricity distribution installations”, stated Cătălin Drăgoi, General Director of E.ON Moldova Distribuţie.
In case the consumers notice electrical boxes, transformation posts and electrical niches that are unlocked or have the locking mechanism deteriorated, or in case they notice poles or conductors on the ground, our company kindly asks them to signal these situations by calling * 929 (* - the prefix of the county from where the call is made).
The strict application of the safety rules is the key message of an information campaign launched last year by E.ON, titled „Your family is just as important as mine!”. Through this campaign, we want to transmit the message of the main and continuous preoccupation of the E.ON employee for the safety of the consumers’ family as for his own one.
At the same time, in order to make the pupils aware of the risks of improper usage of electricity at home and at school, and of the risks that can appear near electrical installations located in the surrounding environment, E.ON initiated the educational program „Energy for life”.
The program has already been implemented in four counties in our area of activity (Bacău, Botoşani, Neamţ and Vaslui).
E.ON Moldova Distribuţie requires the electric energy consumers to follow these safety rules:
- Follow the indications on the warning stickers found on the distribution installations;
