How E.ON Energie Romania gets involved in the social context of tomorrow
E.ON Energie Romania considers that the investments in the future of the children are long-term investments and contribute to a better future for all of us.
1. Grants for children in the rural area
- In August 2007, we joined the programme called “Grants for children in the rural area”, which a project initiated by Ziarul de Iaşi and managed by the ProRuralis Association. Within this project, we would like to directly get involved in facilitating the access to a certain qualitative education level for the children in the rural area. We offered grants to five pupils for four years and as a premiere within the project, the children were offered school materials, a holiday bonus and all our support. It is important for Romania that these special children are able to use their intelligence and talents and not give up their dreams only because they were born in a village, in a family that cannot afford to financially support them.
2. Modern playgrounds
- The first years in the life of a child are the most significant for his subsequent development. For this reason, in November 2007, we got involved in the rehabilitation of a paying ground in Iaşi, where many children can play, being also encouraged to live a health and full-of-energy life. We intend to organise educational activities meant to develop their taste, the care for the environment and community."
