The social attitude and the involvement of E.ON Energie Romania in the actions carried out for the community’s welfare
As an energy company, we are aware of the responsibility we have towards the communities wherein we are present. Sponsorships and donations at regional and national level give us the opportunity to contribute to the development of the society and to actively take part in its problem solving.
Our sponsorship and donation strategy covers the following areas:
1. Support for the children and the young
- E.ON Energie Romania offered donations for Ştefănel Curugiu, the winner of the first prize in the "I dance for you" competition, on May 2nd, 2008.
- E.ON Energie Romania is the main sponsor of the junior team of the Sports High School in Vaslui, for 2008.
2. Support for under-privileged social classes
- E.ON Energie Romania sponsored the fifth edition of the "Together on Children’s Day" event, whereto almost 400 children participated and wherein, for charity purposes, there was organised a campaign of fund collection to support children in difficult situations.
- Together with the Bethany Foundation for Social Assistance, we organised the "Smile and Energy" event on the 1st of June 2008. At its first edition, the event was meant to bring joy to the children coming from under-privileged families.
- In 2005 and 2006, E.ON Energie Romania got involved in actions supporting people in rural areas that were affected by the floods.
All these actions shape our constant preoccupation of bringing more light, warmth and comfort inside the community.
