Environmental protection
The environmental protection actions we integrate in our business
E.ON Energie Romania constantly gets involved in environmental protection actions. For us, the care for the environment is a prerequisite of our existence and a primordial responsibility.
Renewable sources
In Romania, E.ON gets involved in the promotion of electricity generation from renewable sources, focusing on the use of wind potential. Wind power plants reduce electricity generation based on fossil fuels and the emission of polluting gas with a greenhouse effect over the climate. The Heating & Wind team within the Business Development Department, as well as E.ON Regenerabile Romania SRL were especially founded to dedicate themselves to carrying out wind energy generation specific activities.
Investments in environmental protection programmes
Our efforts to protect biodiversity and the environment take shape in the form of investment funds allocated to this business area. Their target is to maintain and restore a environment that is as healthy as possible for future generations.
Investments in ecologic equipments
One of our performance standards is oriented towards the elimination of potentially polluting obsolete equipments and their replacement with modern equipments with a high recycling degree and a low impact on the environment.
Long-term projects
Environmental protection is an activity permanently included in our development strategy. Currently, in the Moldova region, we are carrying out a significant number of ecologic projects and we focus on identifying the opportunities in the sector. We permanently have the motivation required to intensify our technical, financial and human efforts, proving to be more responsible for the nature.
